Jeff Horowitz | President & CEO  jeff horowitz

jeff horowitzJeff literally grew up in the furniture industry and worked tirelessly to achieve ownership of a multi-million dollar home furnishings’ store, Suffern Fine Furniture. Jeff’s retail experience and formal education at Western New England College led to his passion for marketing.  He presently serves the furniture industry on the Board of Directors for the Greater Metro Furniture Association (GMFA).  Jeff also serves the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Jeff founded LS Direct Marketing in 1997 with just two employees. Since establishing the business, Jeff’s leadership has brought the company impressive growth while satisfying the direct marketing needs of thousands of companies in North America.

Having come from a family of entrepreneurs, Jeff recognized the frustration business owners face dealing with innumerable marketing resource providers. He also saw the transition that was occurring from print to web, and the necessity of providing quantifiable results in a ‘bottom line’ economy. Thus evolved the transformation of LS Direct Marketing from being an exclusive advertising and print supplier to the furniture industry to offering clients turnkey solutions to acquire, retain, and sustain customer loyalty.

Jeff and his team now help clients, across a variety of industries, achieve their respective marketing goals. He has built a tech-savvy company that can analyze, create, customize, print, launch and report on any targeted campaign. And LS Direct Marketing does all this under one roof.

Jeff’s off-hours passion is automobiles. It’s something he shares with his father, Arnold Horowitz. It was the very first car they restored together, a 1937 Packard 120 convertible coupe, that went on to achieve acclaim in the movie “Arthur”, featuring Dudley Moore and Liza Minelli. Today, Jeff’s tastes are a bit more contemporary. He is often found racing at Monticello Motor Club.

Chris Knoebel | Vice President & Creative Director  chris knoebel

chris knoebelWith over 30 years in the field, Chris has been immersed in digital production and direct marketing for his entire career. He studied Graphic Design, Visual Communications & Photography at The School Of Visual Arts in NYC. Since his tenure as team leader of The Graphic Arts at Gannett/USA Today, Chris has studied and implemented the newest technologies and tools to create visually exciting marketing materials for some of the nation’s largest retailers.

Chris brought those skills and expertise into the creation of LS Direct Marketing. Chris has a keen design sense without losing sight of what works in retail. His primary role is to develop strategies to scale effective design over a variety of direct marketing campaigns, and provide direction to visual communications that speak to our client’s brand.

Off hours are devoted to family. Chris is an avid tennis player in the warm months and plays platform tennis in the winter months. He also enjoys the ongoing renovation of the family’s 100 year old home in the historic Hudson Valley, north of New York City.

Kathy Fuchs | National Account Manager  kathy fuchs

kathy fuchsKathy is an experienced and resourceful account manager, whose track record of achievement is evident in her clients’ continued success and growth. She received her degree in Retail Merchandising/Marketing from the University of Florida and Fashion Institute of Technology. Having thrived in the demanding, NYC retail sector, Kathy is able to foster client satisfaction with an empathetic instinct for what it takes to grow and flourish in one-on-one sales.

Kathy joined LS Direct Marketing in 2000 as an Account Executive and assisted in the streamlining of the current Customer Services department. She has since held many positions, successfully leading initiatives that further deepen relationships and success with LS Direct Marketing’s partners.

Outside the office, Kathy dedicates her time to her sons, wellness, and numerous community giveback projects. She is a certified personal trainer, specializing in group fitness. Local volunteer efforts include Meals on Wheels, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, D.A.R.E. hockey and supporting her sons’ sporting organizations.

Nick Piatek | Sr. Software & Web Developer  nick piatek

nick piatekNick’s strength as a project manager stems from nearly 15 years experience in web development and IT administration. He is a frontrunner of cutting edge programming, scripting and database integration technology as well as a team leader for all system networking, troubleshooting, upgrade and security issues. Certified as an Adobe ColdFusion developer, he also is skilled in Flex, Flash, ActionScript, Microsoft.NET (ASP & VB), database, engineering, and modeling (MySQL, SQL). His latest achievement is learning Objective-C to write iPad/iPhone applications. In a word, Nick calls himself “the Swiss army knife of anything web and IT.”

From small community groups to Fortune 500 companies, Nick has been recognized with many awards from the United States Senate, the New York State Senate and the New York State Assembly for his outstanding work with designing websites for nonprofit organizations. Nick also serves as an officer for two nonprofits. He is Vice President of Liberty (NY) Community Development Corporation and President/Founder of Liberty Bike Trail, a cycling advocacy group.

Nick is married to his high school sweetheart and lives in the Catskills, where they raise their 4 children. On weekends, you can find Nick riding trails on his mountain bike or shooting sports photography at local high school events.
